The FA School Club Links programme enables qualified coaches from FA Charter Standard Clubs to support schools in their development of Football.
The aim of the programme is to support young people to move into community based clubs or assist schools in developing intra/inter school teams.
For a Charter Standard club who are looking to create a new team or add numbers to their existing teams, forming a school club link and delivering sessions in local schools can help raise awareness of your club among children and help to recruit significant numbers into the club.
Schools can also enable club representatives to talk to children in assemblies and distribute flyers or other promotional material to children or parents to create awareness of the club.
As part of the initiative, the Kent County FA have run several successful School-Club link programmes focusing on particular areas of development such as girls football or disability football.
If you are a Charter Standard club interested in creating a new team or recruiting more players for your club by visiting schools to deliver sessions, please contact Richard McHugh (Football Development Officer, Education) at Richard.mchugh@kentfa.com or on 01622 792140.
