Respect Resources

The FA Respect programme is a long-term programme and with this is mind The FA are continually looking at new ways to raise awareness of the programme and get its message across.

There are a variety of resources available which clubs, leagues and County FA’s can use to promote the Respect ethos. Everyone can get involved.

Respect Barriers

Touchline Logos have become the FA's official provider of FA Respect barriers for the 2011-2012 season. Teams within FA Charter Standard and FA Respect Leagues can now purchase the new generation barriers at a discounted rate. To find out more details please see the Realted Document opposite or call  Touchline Logos on 0113 2646267 or 07949 198994.

Codes of Conduct

There are 5 different codes of conduct – one for managers/coaches, one for young players, one for adult players, one for parents and carers and one for referees. The new codes of conduct can be downloaded here.

Armbands

With the help of our kit sponsors Umbro The FA have designed a Respect arm band which provides a visual reminder of what Respect is all about. These are available in youth and adult sizes.

Badges

Clubs and Leagues can now purchase sleeve badges to show their support for the Respect Programme. These are available at a small cost. Referees can also buy iron-on Respect badges which they can put on their kit as a visual reminder of the Programme.

Respect Guides

The FA has updated the Respect Programme guides. The guides give a comprehensive introduction to the Programme, its aims and how it will affect you. There is one for youth clubs and one for adult clubs, as well as specifically for leagues and referees. These are now available from the Respect Lead Officer at the County FA office.

Respect Parent and Carers Guide - New Online Module

This is a free online resource aimed at educating parents as to what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. Click on the Role of Parents page for more information. Many clubs are encouraging parents of players to complete the module by offering incentives ie; money off annual club subscriptions. To see the new online module click here

Respect T-shirts and Bibs

These can be used as a visual reminder of the Respect ethos, for example Hi-Visibility bibs which can be worn by ‘Respect Marshals’ at games or T-shirts for referees and players to warm up in. Please seek guidance from Respect Lead Officer Stephanie Gadd about the use of FA Respect art work.

Videos

With the help of some well know celebrities The FA have produced three promotional videos to raise the profile of the Respect programme. Two of them feature Hollywood A-Lister Ray Winstone talking about the issue of pushy parents.  These videos can be used by clubs that wish to host Respect awareness evenings for their parents and volunteers. Click here to view one of the video clips.  (Search Respect on this page.)

Posters

The FA has produced a hard hitting poster which features a young lad who just wants to play football without his dad shouting at him. This can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here.
